This little darling is a commission I am working on.
She was rescued by Abbie before, who cleaned her and gave her a little make-over. Now her new owner asked me to give her a platinum mohair reroot with the hairdo of the Kenner Auburn Brunettes like Silk’s.
So far I got the mohair, dyed it and tried to change the original Kenner scalp for a CoolCat one. With a little work it fits but needs to be painted and glued to her head afterwards. Otherwise you have serious gaps as you can see especially because the Kenner hardcap lost all its picks already.
I am not horrified by the fact of gluing the scalp to her head even if I know some Kenner restorers may start crying
But there is no other way, I guess. Okay, let’s start the reroot!
yesterday I was in Saarbrücken at the German Research Center of Artificial Intellligence. This is the place where the landlord works. I asked whether monkey – his name is Mankii – could have a new brain. And I also wanted one for Urs – this is my parrot (he was deaf but Dr Jasz cured him, see my earlier posts) – but unfortunately they don’t build brains. That is very boring. Instead they do computer programs but far away from any good games. So I feeled pretty bored there.
In the evening we returned to grandlandord and grandlandlady and had some talks with them. And of course we took a picture so that you can see grandlandlord and grandlandlady too:
Today we will go back to Berlin but unfortunately the battery of the cam is pretty low. I hope the landlord will be able to take any more pictures.
And the battery of Mankii is also pretty low… So I will need to feed him now.
